Dholera is India’s first Greenfield Industrial Smart City to achieve a platinum rating by the Indian green building council. It is planned and located approximately 100 km southwest of Ahmedabad. Spanning approximately 920 sq. km and encompassing huge land parcels, DSIR is envisaged to be significant within the strategic locations of Industrial cities at Ahmedabad, Baroda, Rajkot and Bhavnagar. It is part of the prestigious Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) project. DMIC is part of India’s most ambitious infrastructure program National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC), aiming to develop new industrial cities as “Smart Cities” and converging next-generation technologies across infrastructure sectors.
